Overload's famous poetry pub crawl begins in a blaze of tongues and fresh voices. Be lead by the ever-bright Santo Cazzatti through the bars of Smith and Gertrude Streets (if you lose your way, just follow the mysterious red string)
Cost $5 per session or $10 for all three.
Session 1
The first set brings together the voices of Ben Pobjie and Vivienne Glance (WA) with a preview set by Gabrielle Everall (WA). Pobjie is a seasoned poet, comedian and entertainer who's become the subject of a grass-roots push to make him Australia's first poet laureate. Vivienne Glance is a WA poetry slam champion, theatre director and actor, set to light up our aural horizons. Gabrielle Everall will feature at the Dan O'Connell on 5 September.

Session 2
Jenny Toune (SA), possibly the world's only tap-dancing poet, warms the set up for Kimberly Mann (NT), recently published under the Australian Poetry Centre's New Poets series, and Anthony O'Sullivan, one of the driving forces behind The Spinning Room readings, a Melbourne poet of great rhythm, beat and soul. Jenny Toune will feature on Poetic Riffs, Saturday 5 September. **STOP PRESS** For session 2, we will also have Sam Byfield joining us as a wild card entry!

Session 3
It's Friday night and this crawl gets hotter and hotter! Blue Velvet is where the action booms; first a brief preview of poetic musical duo Graham Nunn and Sheish Money (QLD) who will feature on Poetic Riffs, Saturday 5 September. Then settle in for the electric beats and rhythms of Melbourne's Alex Scott and be blown away by the enigmatic surrealism that is Ghost Boy (QLD). There is no better way to ride this night out.
